edits: come here by bus! Google map offered a wrong transportation route. Get off at 峰谷station and it is just located at the bus stop. 5 min drive from the temple, tho bus is not frequent. Taste the superb view indeed! Recommend any tofu fish. Lucky enough to get a window view table at a less busy time. Also service was really good - a gentleman was fluent in English and offered to bring the dessert after the mains.

Came visiting Hieizan in early November and had early lunch. Took shuttle bus and alight at 峰道. Have a bird’s eye view while having lunch, can see lake Biwako.
